My Anticipated Releases of 2019

Hey there! I thought I would compile a list of all my anticipated releases, upcoming and just passed!. Without further ado, let's get into it!

The Mermaid's Voice Returns in This One (Women Are Some Kind of Magic, #3)The Mermaid's Voice Returns in this One by Amanda Lovelace

Release Date: March 5th 2019

Genre: Poetry

Blurb (from Goodreads):

Goodreads Choice Award-winning poet and USA TODAY bestselling author Amanda Lovelace presents the mermaid’s voice returns in this one — the third and final installment in her “women are some kind of magic” series, featuring a foreword from Lang Leav and 13 guest poems from leading voices in poetry such as Nikita Gill, KY Robinson, and Orion Carloto.

The mermaid is known for her siren song, luring bedroom-eyed sailors to their demise. However, beneath these misguided myths are tales of escapism and healing, which Lovelace weaves throughout this empowering collection of poetry, taking you on a journey from the sea to the stars. They tried to silence her once and for all, but the mermaid’s voice returns in this one.

Why I NEED this book now:

I'm about a month late for this book but I'm waiting on a library copy! Lovelace's first two poetry books in the 'Women are Some Kind of Magic' series absolutely blew me away. Lovelace has a way of weaving the intricacies of extended metaphors into real life situations amazingly. Plus, I absolutely love mermaids and all things siren related, so this book is a must have for me!

Defy Me (Shatter Me, #5)
Defy Me by Tahereh Mafi

Release Date: April 2nd 2019

Genre: Young Adult, Dystopian, Sci-Fi

Blurb (from Goodreads):

The gripping fifth installment in the New York Times, USA Today, and Publishers Weekly bestselling Shatter Me series. Will Juliette’s broken heart make her vulnerable to the strengthening darkness within her?

Juliette’s short tenure as the supreme commander of North America has been an utter disaster. When the children of the other world leaders show up on her doorstep, she wants nothing more than to turn to Warner for support and guidance. But he shatters her heart when he reveals that he’s been keeping secrets about her family and her identity from her—secrets that change everything.

Juliette is devastated, and the darkness that’s always dwelled within her threatens to consume her. An explosive encounter with unexpected visitors might be enough to push her over the edge.

Why I NEED this book now:

This book was recently released and I'm waiting on my library copy to come through. The ending to Restore Me had me so (pardon my Gen Z lingo) SHOOK! I could not believe what I just read! I'm so excited to see how this all plays out! I don't want to spoil anything but I am really rooting for my babies and I can't wait to see what Juliette will do now. I remember thinking that I was done with this series after Ignite Me, but Mafi drew me back in with Restore Me, and I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

The Princess and the Fangirl (Once Upon a Con, #2)
The Princess and the Fangirl by Ashley Poston

Release Date: April 2nd 2019

Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Blurb (from Goodreads):

The Prince and the Pauper gets a modern makeover in this adorable, witty, and heartwarming young adult novel set in the Geekerella universe by national bestselling author Ashley Poston.

Imogen Lovelace is an ordinary fangirl on an impossible mission: save her favorite character, Princess Amara, from being killed off from her favorite franchise, Starfield. The problem is, Jessica Stone—the actress who plays Princess Amara—wants nothing more than to leave the intense scrutiny of the fandom behind. If this year's ExcelsiCon isn't her last, she'll consider her career derailed.

When a case of mistaken identity throws look-a-likes Imogen and Jess together, they quickly become enemies. But when the script for the Starfield sequel leaks, and all signs point to Jess, she and Imogen must trade places to find the person responsible. That's easier said than done when the girls step into each other's shoes and discover new romantic possibilities, as well as the other side of intense fandom. As these "princesses" race to find the script-leaker, they must rescue themselves from their own expectations, and redefine what it means to live happily ever after.

Why I NEED this book now: I absolutely adored Geekerella, it was adorkable and sweet and I can't wait to see more fandom love in this sequel. I've heard such positive praise for this book and I honestly can't wait to read it!

Descendant of the Crane
Descendant of the Crane by Joan He

Release Date: April 9th 2019

Genre: Fantasy, Young Adult

Blurb (from Goodreads):

Princess Hesina of Yan has always been eager to shirk the responsibilities of the crown, dreaming of an unremarkable life. But when her beloved father is found dead, she’s thrust into power, suddenly the queen of a surprisingly unstable kingdom. What’s more, Hesina believes that her father was murdered—and that the killer is someone close to her.

Hesina’s court is packed full of dissemblers and deceivers eager to use the king’s death for political gain, each as plausibly guilty as the next. Her advisers would like her to blame the neighboring kingdom of Kendi’a, whose ruler has been mustering for war. Determined to find her father’s actual killer, Hesina does something desperate: she enlists the aid of a soothsayer—a treasonous act, punishable by
death, since magic was outlawed centuries ago.

Using the information provided by the sooth, and uncertain if she can trust her family, Hesina turns to Akira—a brilliant investigator who’s also a convicted criminal with secrets of his own. With the future of Yan at stake, can Hesina find justice for her father? Or will the cost be too high?

Why I NEED this book now:

This book seems like a really interesting fantasy novel, and it's an own voices diverse read too! I've heard a LOT of praise about this book, especially from the ever-amazing Vicky from Vicky Who Reads (check her blog out!) I'll be totally honest- the cover art is also what drew me to this novel. Look how pretty it is! I'm looking forward to this novel and I really hope it lives up to the hype!

Can't Beat the ChemistryCan't Beat the Chemistry by Kat Colmer

Release Date: April 20th 2019

Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Blurb (from Goodreads):

Ionic and covalent bonds are a piece of cake for MJ. But human bonds are a little harder ...

There are only two things MJ wants in her final year of high school:

1) Glowing grades and ...

2) to convince uber-smart, chiselled-jaw Jason they’d be a winning team outside the science lab as well as in.

Tutoring deadbeat drummer, Luke, isn’t part of the plan. After all, he has average intelligence, takes disorganised notes and looks like a partied-out zombie at their study sessions! Not even his taut biceps will win MJ over.

But MJ learns that she could be tutored in a few life lessons too: That sometimes there’s good reason to skip chemistry tutorials. That intelligence is so much more than a grade average.

And that sometimes you can’t beat the chemistry.

Why I NEED this book now:

Okay, confession time...I already have an e-ARC of this book. BUT! It is still one of my most anticipated releases of 2019! What first drew me to this- 1) ultra smart main character! 2) the tutoring & helping them get their crush trope! 3) appearances ≠ what the person is actually like! I finished this book on Thursday and I will post a review on this blog as soon as I can and will link it at a later date! But for now all I will say is that MJ and Luke really have won my heart, so props to you Kat Colmer!

Hot Dog Girl
Hot Dog Girl by Jennifer Dugan

Release Date: April 30th 2019

Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Blurb (from Goodreads):

Elouise (Lou) Parker is determined to have the absolute best, most impossibly epic summer of her life. There are just a few things standing in her way:

* She's landed a job at Magic Castle Playland . . . as a giant dancing hot dog.
* Her crush, the dreamy Diving Pirate Nick, already has a girlfriend, who is literally the Princess of the park. But Lou's never liked anyone, guy or otherwise, this much before, and now she wants a chance at her own happily ever after.
* Her best friend, Seeley, the carousel operator, who's always been up for anything, suddenly isn't when it comes to Lou's quest to set her up with the perfect girl or Lou's scheme to get close to Nick.
* And it turns out that this will be their last summer at Magic Castle Playland--ever--unless she can find a way to stop it from closing.

Jennifer Dugan's sparkling debut coming-of-age queer romance stars a princess, a pirate, a hot dog, and a carousel operator who find love--and themselves--in unexpected people and unforgettable places.

Why I NEED this book now:

Okay, first, can we talk about this cover??? It's so cute, I'm in love! This book seems like it would be a light and fluffy read which I'm really in the mood for lately, as well as the fact that it has queer representation!!!

RomanovRomanov by Nadine Brandes

Release Date: May 7th 2019

Genre: Young Adult, Historical Fiction, Fantasy

Blurb (from Goodreads):

The history books say I died.

They don’t know the half of it.

Anastasia “Nastya” Romanov was given a single mission: to smuggle an ancient spell into her suitcase on her way to exile in Siberia. It might be her family’s only salvation. But the leader of the Bolshevik army is after them . . . and he’s hunted Romanov before.

Nastya’s only chances of survival are to either release the spell, and deal with the consequences, or enlist help from Zash, the handsome soldier who doesn’t act like the average Bolshevik. Nastya’s never dabbled in magic before, but it doesn’t frighten her as much as her growing attraction for Zash. She likes him. She thinks he might even like her . . .

That is, until she’s on one side of a firing squad . . . and he’s on the other.

Why I NEED this book now:

First thing you should know about me: I am an absolute sucker for anything Anastasia related. I absolutely love the Broadway musical (which closed last weekend...don't talk to me about it I'm still SO SAD). I love reading about the history of the Russian Revolution and Anastasia's family. So. obviously this book is an utter must have for me! Secondly, I am a sucker for the enemies to lovers trope. This book is about Nastya and Zash, who are on opposing sides...if that doesn't scream enemies to lovers then I don't know what does!

Love From A to Z
Love From A to Z by S.K. Ali

Release Date: May 7th 2019

Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Blurb (from Goodreads):

marvel: something you find amazing. Even ordinary-amazing. Like potatoes—because they make French fries happen. Like the perfect fries Adam and his mom used to make together.

An oddity: whatever gives you pause. Like the fact that there are hateful people in the world. Like Zayneb’s teacher, who won’t stop reminding the class how “bad” Muslims are.

But Zayneb, the only Muslim in class, isn’t bad. She’s angry.

When she gets suspended for confronting her teacher, and he begins investigating her activist friends, Zayneb heads to her aunt’s house in Doha, Qatar, for an early start to spring break.

Fueled by the guilt of getting her friends in trouble, she resolves to try out a newer, “nicer” version of herself in a place where no one knows her.

Then her path crosses with Adam’s.

Since he got diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in November, Adam’s stopped going to classes, intent, instead, on perfecting the making of things. Intent on keeping the memory of his mom alive for his little sister.

Adam’s also intent on keeping his diagnosis a secret from his grieving father.

Alone, Adam and Zayneb are playing roles for others, keeping their real thoughts locked away in their journals.

Until a marvel and an oddity occurs…

Marvel: Adam and Zayneb meeting.

Oddity: Adam and Zayneb meeting.

Why I NEED this book now:

First of all- it's a Muslim love story!! I'm a huge advocate and lover of diverse books and I'm so excited for this! I read Saints and Misfits earlier this year and I fell in love with it. Ali really tackled important issues in Saints and Misfits and I can't wait to see what she does in Love From A to Z.

Aurora Rising (The Aurora Cycle, #1)
Aurora Rising by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman

Release Date: May 7th 2019

Genre: Young Adult, Sci-Fi

Blurb (from Goodreads):

From the internationally bestselling authors of THE ILLUMINAE FILES comes an epic new science fiction adventure.

The year is 2380, and the graduating cadets of Aurora Academy are being assigned their first missions. Star pupil Tyler Jones is ready to recruit the squad of his dreams, but his own boneheaded heroism sees him stuck with the dregs nobody else in the Academy would touch…

A cocky diplomat with a black belt in sarcasm
A sociopath scientist with a fondness for shooting her bunkmates
A smart-ass techwiz with the galaxy’s biggest chip on his shoulder
An alien warrior with anger management issues
A tomboy pilot who’s totally not into him, in case you were wondering

And Ty’s squad isn’t even his biggest problem—that’d be Aurora Jie-Lin O’Malley, the girl he’s just rescued from interdimensional space. Trapped in cryo-sleep for two centuries, Auri is a girl out of time and out of her depth. But she could be the catalyst that starts a war millions of years in the making, and Tyler’s squad of losers, discipline-cases and misfits might just be the last hope for the entire galaxy.

They're not the heroes we deserve. They're just the ones we could find. Nobody panic.

Why I NEED this book now:

I absolutely loved the Illuminae files and can't wait to see how Kaufman and Kristoff enrapture us with this novel. I'm also really digging the whole 'band of misfits' thing in books right now, so I'm really looking forward to this book. Also, look at that cover!! It's so pretty!

The UnhoneymoonersThe Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

Release Date: May 14th 2019

Blurb (from Goodreads):

Olive is always unlucky: in her career, in love, in…well, everything. Her identical twin sister Amy, on the other hand, is probably the luckiest person in the world. Her meet-cute with her fiancĂ© is something out of a romantic comedy (gag) and she’s managed to finance her entire wedding by winning a series of Internet contests (double gag). Worst of all, she’s forcing Olive to spend the day with her sworn enemy, Ethan, who just happens to be the best man.

Olive braces herself to get through 24 hours of wedding hell before she can return to her comfortable, unlucky life. But when the entire wedding party gets food poisoning from eating bad shellfish, the only people who aren’t affected are Olive and Ethan. She and Ethan now have to pretend to be loving newlyweds, and her luck seems worse than ever. But the weird thing is that she doesn’t mind playing pretend. In fact, she feels kind of... lucky.

Why I NEED this book now:

Again....ENEMIES!!! TO!!! LOVERS!!! Christina Lauren has written such great romance novels such as Roomies and Dating You/Hating You, so I can't wait to see where this goes! They're probably my favourite adult/new adult 'hate to love' writers.

I Love You So MochiI Love You So Mochi by Sarah Kuhn

Release Date: May 28th 2019

Blurb (from Goodreads):

Kimi Nakamura loves a good fashion statement. She's obsessed with transforming everyday ephemera into Kimi Originals: bold outfits that make her and her friends feel brave, fabulous, and like the Ultimate versions of themselves. So when a surprise letter comes in the mail from Kimi's estranged grandparents, inviting her to Kyoto for spring break, she seizes the opportunity to get away from the disaster of her life.

When she arrives in Japan, she loses herself in Kyoto's outdoor markets, art installations, and cherry blossom festival--and meets Akira, a cute med student who moonlights as a costumed mochi mascot. What begins as a trip to escape her problems quickly becomes a way for Kimi to learn more about the mother she left behind, and to figure out where her own heart lies.

Why I NEED this book now:

ASIAN REPRESENTATION!!!!! I absolutely love reading diverse books, especially when they're Asian Lit because I honestly had never read a book with an Asian main character until To All The Boys I've Loved Before (which I absolutely adore!) So I'm so excited to see even more Asian representation! Also look at this cover! (As you can see by now, the cover really impacts whether I wanna pick a book up or not).

Why I NEED this book now:

First of all- it releases on my birthday!!! Hello, birthday present??? Anyway, this book honestly just looks so adorable and I'm HOPING it's an enemies to lovers! Symptoms of a Heartbreak
Symptoms of a Heartbreak by Sona Charaipotra

Release Date: July 2nd 2019
(Note: I think on Goodreads it says May 21st but Sona Charaipotra has announced on Instagram that publication has been pushed back to the 2nd of July.)

Genre: Young Adult, Romance, Contemporary

Blurb (from Goodreads):

Fresh from med school, sixteen-year-old medical prodigy Saira arrives for her first day at her new job: treating children with cancer. She’s always had to balance family and friendships with her celebrity as the Girl Genius—but she’s never had to prove herself to skeptical adult co-workers while adjusting to real life-and-death stakes. And working in the same hospital as her mother certainly isn’t making things any easier.

But life gets complicated when Saira finds herself falling in love with a patient: a cute teen boy who’s been diagnosed with cancer. And when she risks her brand new career to try to improve his chances, it could cost her everything.

It turns out “heartbreak” is the one thing she still doesn’t know how to treat.

Why I NEED this book now:

First of all- diversity!! I love reading novels about minorities, it really gives me such an interesting insight into their culture. Also, another female intellectual prodigy!!! I love reading about women in STEM because I actually am hoping to get into med school myself! Plus it's amazing to read about badass smart women! This cover is also really cute and I can't wait to read this book!

Maybe This TimeMaybe This Time by Kasie West

Release Date: July 9th 2019

Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Blurb (from Goodreads):

One year. Nine events. Nine chances to . . . fall in love?

Weddings. Funerals. Barbecues. New Year's Eve parties. Name the occasion, and Sophie Evans will be there. Well, she has to be there. Sophie works for the local florist, so she can be found at every big event in her small hometown, arranging bouquets and managing family dramas.

Enter Andrew Hart. The son of the fancy new chef in town, Andrew is suddenly required to attend all the same events as Sophie. Entitled, arrogant, preppy Andrew. Sophie just wants to get her job done and finish up her sketches so she can apply to design school. But every time she turns around, there is Andrew, getting in her way and making her life more complicated. Until one day she wonders if maybe complicated isn't so bad after all . . .

Told over the course of one year and following Sophie from event to event, this delightful novel from master of romantic comedy Kasie West shows how love can blossom in unexpected places.

Why I NEED this book now:

There isn't a single contemporary novel of Kasie West's that I did not love, and so I can't wait for this novel. It seems really different from her other novels, as her books tend to be set over the course of a few months, however this one is set over a whole year. I am really hoping it's an enemies to lovers from that blurb (again with this trope, I know), because her enemies to lovers novel 'P.S. I Like You' was amazing and really cute. I'm also just really in love with this cover! West has always used covers with the male and female main characters on the front, and this is the first time she's had the cover be of only the female character.

The Wedding PartyThe Wedding Party by Jasmine Guillory

Release Date: July 16th 2019

Genre: Adult Fiction, Contemporary, Romance

Blurb (from Goodreads):

The new exhilarating romance from The New York Times bestselling author of The Proposal!

Maddie and Theo have two things in common:

1. Alexa is their best friend
2. They hate each other

After an "oops, we made a mistake" night together, neither one can stop thinking about the other. With Alexa's wedding rapidly approaching, Maddie and Theo both share bridal party responsibilities that require more interaction with each other than they're comfortable with. Underneath the sharp barbs they toss at each other is a simmering attraction that won't fade. It builds until they find themselves sneaking off together to release some tension when Alexa isn't looking, agreeing they would end it once the wedding is over. When it’s suddenly pushed up and they only have a few months left of secret rendezvouses, they find themselves regretting that the end is near. Two people this different can’t possibly have a connection other than the purely physical, right?

But as with any engagement with a nemesis, there are unspoken rules that must be abided by. First and foremost, don't fall in love.

Why I NEED this book now:

First of all: DIVERSITY!! Second of all: I know I'm sounding like an old broken record, but ENEMIES TO LOVERS!!! I honestly can not stress enough how much I adore this trope. I've only read The Wedding Date, and will read The Proposal once this book comes out, but The Wedding Date was really good (thanks to my favoruite librarian for recommending it to me!), and so I can't wait for The Wedding Party. We were introduced to Theo and Maddie in The Wedding Date and their dynamic interested me to say the least, so I can't wait to see how this plays out.

Release Date: September 3rd 2019

Genre: Adult Fiction, Contemporary, Romance, Women's Fiction- Chick Lit

Blurb (from Goodreads):

All's faire in love and war for two sworn enemies who indulge in a harmless flirtation in a laugh-out-loud rom-com from debut author Jen DeLuca.

Emily knew there would be strings attached when she relocated to the small town of Willow Creek, Maryland, for the summer to help her sister recover from an accident, but who could anticipate getting roped into volunteering for the local Renaissance Faire alongside her teenaged niece? Or that the irritating and inscrutable schoolteacher in charge of the volunteers would be so annoying that she finds it impossible to stop thinking about him?

The faire is Simon's family legacy and from the start he makes clear he doesn't have time for Emily's lighthearted approach to life, her oddball Shakespeare conspiracy theories, or her endless suggestions for new acts to shake things up. Yet on the faire grounds he becomes a different person, flirting freely with Emily when she's in her revealing wench's costume. But is this attraction real, or just part of the characters they're portraying?

This summer was only ever supposed to be a pit stop on the way to somewhere else for Emily, but soon she can't seem to shake the fantasy of establishing something more with Simon or a permanent home of her own in Willow Creek.

Why I NEED this book now:

I honestly am sorry for repeating this but really the first thing that drew me to this book was the enemies to lovers trope. Secondly- the cover!! It's so cute, I love it so much. Also, I'm kind of interested in this Shakespearesque reference and the faire itself seems like a cool concept to read about.

Release Date: September 10th 2019

Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Blurb (from Goodreads):

High school senior Frank Li is a Limbo–his term for Korean-American kids who find themselves caught between their parents’ traditional expectations and their own Southern California upbringing. His parents have one rule when it comes to romance–“Date Korean”–which proves complicated when Frank falls for Brit Means, who is smart, beautiful–and white. Fellow Limbo Joy Song is in a similar predicament, and so they make a pact: they’ll pretend to date each other in order to gain their freedom. Frank thinks it’s the perfect plan, but in the end, Frank and Joy’s fake-dating maneuver leaves him wondering if he ever really understood love–or himself–at all.

Why I NEED this book now:

As well as the enemies to lovers trope, I absolutely love the fake dating trope!!! (see To All the Boys I've Loved Before). I also love how this has Asian representation!! I also really love the pun in the title- Frank Li, Frankly.

Release Date: September 24th 2019

Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy, Romance

Blurb (from Goodreads):

The story is supposed to be over.

Simon Snow did everything he was supposed to do. He beat the villain. He won the war. He even fell in love. Now comes the good part, right? Now comes the happily ever after…

So why can’t Simon Snow get off the couch?

What he needs, according to his best friend, is a change of scenery. He just needs to see himself in a new light…

That’s how Simon and Penny and Baz end up in a vintage convertible, tearing across the American West.

They find trouble, of course. (Dragons, vampires, skunk-headed things with shotguns.) And they get lost. They get so lost, they start to wonder whether they ever knew where they were headed in the first place…

With Wayward Son, Rainbow Rowell has written a book for everyone who ever wondered what happened to the Chosen One after he saved the day. And a book for everyone who was ever more curious about the second kiss than the first. It’s another helping of sour cherry scones with an absolutely decadent amount of butter.

Come on, Simon Snow. Your hero’s journey might be over – but your life has just begun.

Why I NEED this book now:

I read Carry On this year with Bruno from A Few Chapters Til' Love and our friend Joc. I absolutely loved it and when I found out there was a sequel I was so excited. Snowbaz is one of my favourite enemies to lovers ships and I can't wait to see their relationship develop even more. I really hope there's a cover being released which matches mine though, because although I adore this cover, it won't match my copy of Carry On.

Release Date: October 7th 2019

Genre: New Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Blurb (from Goodreads):

Coming this fall, a brand-new standalone in the New York Timesbestselling Briar U series!

She’s the player he never saw coming…

Note: There is not a blurb available yet, I'll post it when it's released!

Why I NEED this book now:

I started the Off-Campus and Briar U series this year, and I fell in love! Kennedy manages to write about complex badass women coming into their own and finding love along the way. I don't know if this will beat out The Risk, which is by far my favourite book from the two series, but I am still so excited for this book, especially after the end of The Risk. We now know that The Play is Hunter Davenport's book, and have yet to find out who his love interest is. We do however know that we have never met her before...The mystery and the anticipation of how this will play out in light of Hunter's pledge at the end of the last book has me on the edge of my seat until October 7th!

Release Date: November 19th 2019

Genre: Fantasy, Young Adult

Blurb (from Goodreads):

From #1 New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Cassandra Clare comes the first novel in a brand-new trilogy where evil hides in plain sight and the only thing more dangerous than fighting demons is falling in love. Chain of Goldis a Shadowhunters novel.

Cordelia Carstairs is a Shadowhunter, a warrior trained since childhood to battle demons. When her father is accused of a terrible crime, she and her brother travel to Edwardian London in hopes of preventing the family’s ruin. Cordelia’s mother wants to marry her off, but Cordelia is determined to be a hero rather than a bride. Soon Cordelia encounters childhood friends James and Lucie Herondale and is drawn into their world of glittering ballrooms, secret assignations, and supernatural salons, where vampires and warlocks mingle with mermaids and magicians. All the while, she must hide her secret love for James, who is sworn to marry someone else.

But Cordelia’s new life is blown apart when a shocking series of demon attacks devastate London. These monsters are nothing like those Shadowhunters have fought before—these demons walk in daylight, strike down the unwary with incurable poison, and seem impossible to kill. London is immediately quarantined. Trapped in the city, Cordelia and her friends discover that their own connection to an dark legacy has gifted them with incredible powers — and force a brutal choice that will reveal the true cruel price of being a hero.

Why I NEED this book now:

First of all: look at that cover!! It's so beautiful! I absolutely loved The Infernal Devices- in fact it still is to this day my favourite Shadowhunters series! Tessa, Jem, and Will all enraptured me from the get-go and I can't wait to read about the next generation of Shadowhunters. I also love reading books set in different historical eras, so I'm really looking forward to this book. I also have been waiting for this series ever since Clare announced it in 2015 or so, so this has been a LONG time coming. I honestly thought I was done with the Shadowhunter world, but this series along with The Wicked Powers will have me coming back for more for years to come.

Please note that all book covers have been taken from Goodreads and are not my images!

And that's a wrap on all my anticipated reads of 2019! I will try review most if not all these books as the year progresses! For now, you can see what I'm reading by adding me on Goodreads, following my Instagram and visiting this blog.

What are your most anticipated reads of 2019?
